UCSF-Secure Wireless Network Configuration for Mac OS X

Follow the steps below to configure your laptop to connect to the UCSF-Secure wireless network.

  1. Click on the AirPort icon and select Turn AirPort On.




  2. Once AirPort has been activated, the icon will appear differently. Click the active AirPort icon and select Other.




  3. In the Closed Network dialog, type in UCSF-Secure for "Network Name." Select WPA Enterprise for "Wireless Security." Type in your SOM domain username and password. If you have a CAMPUS domain account, then type in CAMPUS\username for User Name. Click the OK button.




  4. The Verify Certificate dialog appears. Click the Show Certificate button.




  5. Check Always trust these certificates and click the Continue button. After a few seconds, your wireless network connection is ready.
