Below are links to several University of California (UC) initiatives regarding scholarly publishing and the current crisis in science, technology, and medical (STM) publishing.

  • NIH Public Access Policy (NIH) - National Institute of Health maintained website for the NIH's final policy regarding public access of federally-funded research. Provides access to policy resources and tools, including the NIH Manuscript Submission (NIHMS) system.

  • eScholarship Repository - a service of the eScholarship initiative of the California Digital Library. Research and scholarly output included here has been selected and deposited by the individual University of California units.

  • Reshaping Scholarly Communication (UCSF Library) - information about the UCSF Kalmanovitz Library's efforts to inform UCSF scholars and authors about what steps they can take to make their published works more accessible.

  • Reshaping Scholarly Communication (UC Office of Scholarly Communication (OSC)) - provides information for UC scholars and others interested in changing scholarly communication. Includes specifics on managing intellectual property, alternate forms of publishing and methods to support sustainable scholarly communication.
