George D. Meyer, M.D., was the Mental Health Services Director within the Outpatient Department at San Francisco General Hospital from 1972-1975. He also worked for the San Francisco Department of Public Health, Mental Health Services, for over 27 years. He was a volunteer clinical faculty member of the UCSF Medical School Department of Psychiatry from 1960 through the mid 1990's. After his death, his personal collection of psychology and psychiatry books was donated to the Barnett-Briggs Medical Library.
